Managing Your Contacts

How do I create a new list?

To create a list, do the following:
  1. Go to the Contacts | Your Lists tab (you can get there by clicking the Contacts tab from your dashboard) and click on Add new list.

  2. Enter the name for your list under Name Of List.

  3. If you would like to provide a description for your list, enter it under Description.  The description should briefly provide information about the purpose of the list.

  4. Click on the Add List button.  You will see the following message: Your new list has been created.  Please wait while we redirect you to the list details.  Following which, you will be brought to your new List Snapshot page, which will provide an overview of your list activities and the recommended steps you can do to complete your lists setup.

After creating a new list, we recommend that you do the following:

  1. Customize your Confirmed Opt-In, Welcome and Unsubscribe messages. To do so, click on the Messages tab. This will take you to the message editor, where you can select the message you would like to edit and save your changes.

  2. By default, we provide you with 18 custom subscriber fields. They are:

    1. Name
    2. Email Address
    3. Company Name
    4. Title
    5. Department
    6. Address
    7. Country
    8. City
    9. State/Province:
    10. Zip/Postal Code
    11. Office Number
    12. Home Number
    13. Mobile Number
    14. Fax Number
    15. Date of Birth
    16. Gender
    17. Marital Status
    18. Preferred Email Format

    If you need to create more custom fields, you can click on the Custom Fields tab to create up to 10 more custom fields.

  3. Now you are ready to start inviting your customers to sign up for your newsletter.  Click on the Subscription Form tab to create your online subscription form. Once it has been created, you can copy the code and put it on your website.

  4. If you already have permission-based subscribers, you can click on the Subscribers tab, followed by the Add Subscribers button, to manually add your subscribers or carry out batch importing.

With the steps above, you have completed setting up your list.

All batch import subscribers will not show up on your list until they have been approved by our delivery team.   The process usually takes between one to two working days.
