Say Hello to the Subscribe Button

Hot on the heels of Subscriber Notifications, we’re excited to announce the all new Subscribe Button. The easiest way to add an elegant, unobtrusive subscribe form to any page on your site.

The Subscribe Button is perfect for your sidebar, footer or any page with limited screen real-estate. Slot the button in where you like, and once it’s pressed a simple subscribe form instantly appears through a modal window.

Customize Everything

The button itself is available in two colors and sizes. You can use your own button text, and also choose to show or hide the number of subscribers in that list.

We’ve also given you lots of control over the subscribe form. Choose which fields you’d like to show and in what order, set the important stuff as required and add your own intro copy.

You’ll find the feature under a simplified sidebar for each subscriber list in your account. Just click on Grow your audience option to get started.

Introducing Subscriber Notifications

We’re very excited to announce that we have released a beautiful, flexible new way to keep up with the people who are joining your subscriber lists.  We’ve given you complete control over what notifications you’d like to receive and when.

Instant Updates

If you’re interested in learning everything you can about each person that joins your list, you’re going to love our instant notifications. You can set them on a list-by-list basis, and every time someone signs up, we’ll send you something like this…

Each email will include all the data they might have supplied when subscribing. Plus, we’ll show you exactly where they subscribed from and if available, what they look like. It’s amazing how quickly this turns them into a real person instead of just another email address. These notifications can be set on a list-by-list basis, so you’re only updated instantly when you need to be.

Daily, Weekly or Monthly Summaries

As well as instant notifications, you can also choose a daily, weekly or monthly summary that gives an overview of all the new subscribers across every list for each client. We’ll show you where they’re from, which lists they’ve been added to and even pull out a few friendly faces.

Notifications

First things first, notifications will be turned off by default for you. But, if you would find these notifications useful, you can easily enable them from your account. These notifications are set on a per-person basis. As long as you have permission to manage your own subscribers, you can head into your notification preferences and choose the types of updates that suit you best.

How to turn notifications on
You’ll notice a new option in the sidebar of “Lists & Subscribers” like this…

From there you can select any lists you’d like instant updates for, and if you’d like to receive a daily, weekly or monthly summary across all the lists for that subscriber.

One final point worth mentioning, these notifications are all about organic subscribers joining your lists.  This means we won’t notify you about subscribers you manually import yourself, only those that join from your subscribe forms, an integration you might have set up or the API.

Database Migration Scheduled For Saturday – 11:00 PM (PST)

This upcoming Saturday morning, December 10th eConnect Email will be experiencing some downtime due to a planned database server migration. To minimize disruption, the migration will begin at 11:00 PM (PST) and will run until complete – during this period the application will be unable to create or send emails. We’re expecting it to take 24 hours to complete and you will be able to resume sending as soon as it’s live again.

In preparation for the move we will be trying to minimize any campaigns in the sending queue by Friday evening. Please plan to send any large volume campaigns at the start of the the day Friday and plan to taper off by the end of that day.

During the migration, we will be implementing some new security enhancements. We’ve recently discovered some areas that we’d like to update and this database move will be a good opportunity to do so.

This migration is a milestone in bringing you all the greatly improved features we intend to offer our clients on eConnect Email and will be the only disruptive maintenance we require during the migration to our new infrastructure. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation!

Facebook “Like” Feature Now Available With eConnect Email

To honor Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for earning Time’s Person Of The Year Award, we integrated the Facebook “Like” feature into eConnect Email.

You can now include a Facebook “Like” button into your emails.

With the simple inclusion of a merge tag, email recipients can click the “Like” button and the email will be shared on their Facebook wall. How cool is that?

Product Update: Social Sharing Message & Link Labeling

We are continuing to work on providing a superior email marketing platform and wanted to share with you our latest product updates. As always we welcome your feedback!

Update Your Social Share Message

This feature allows all of our clients and partners to update the default messaging that appears when a user clicks the Social Share icon.

For our private-label partners, they can even edit the system-wide default message in their agency model, found on the Admin page.

It’s easy to use and easy to update. If you can type in a text box and click ‘Save’, you’ll be able to figure it out!

Label and change your links easily with Link Labeling

Experience complete control of links…even after you send a campaign.

One of our most requested new features is now live as Link Labeling is available for all clients and partners.

Link Labeling includes two key features:

Labeling: Instead of trying to figure out what a ridiculously long URL was in your campaign, just apply a label to your links after you send. Easy, simple, done.

Changing: We’ve all made the mistake of including an incorrect link in an email. Now we’ve removed that helpless feeling with a great one: the ability to completely change a link after you’ve sent it out. Even better, the change is immediate!

With the single-click unsubscribe in eConnect Email, we understand that sometimes you or your clients accidentally unsubscribe and it’s somewhat of a process to re-subscribe them. No more!

Now anyone that unsubcribes will have the option to immediately re-subscribe with a single click. They won’t have to leave the page or go through any lengthy hassle. One click and they’re back on the list…just like that.
